Pastor Keith Lenard Jr.
An Ordained Elder in the Global Methodist Church, Pastor Keith comes to Ithaca from southeastern Michigan with over a decade of experience as a pastor. Keith has a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice with minors in History and Philosophy. He received an M.Div. and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical interpretation, both from Ashland Theological Seminary. "I did not grow up in church. Christ drew me by grace with a combination of my daughter's baptism, my Aunts' evangelism, academics deconstructing my secular worldview, worldly pursuits coming up empty, and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship's Christian witness. I am passionate in helping people move from outside of the church to inside as disciples of Jesus, then to becoming disciple makers themselves. Mark Monroe
A long-time member of Ithaca Living Hope Church, Mark currently serves as Assistant to the Pastor and church custodian. "I have lived in Ithaca most of my life, but my journey into new life in Christ began in the summer of 1993 after I graduated college and began attending Ithaca UMC. Through the faithful discipleship of many godly men in the local church the Bible came alive personally and God has been gracious to provide many ministry opportunities over the years - from Sunday School teacher to youth ministry to lay speaking. My greatest joy comes from sharing God’s word through small group Bible studies, preaching inside and outside the local church, including monthly chapel services at Carson City Correctional Facility. The Scriptures are living and powerful and I enjoy seeing the Holy Spirit continue to touch and transform lives as people discover timeless truth in fresh ways."
