Sisters of Hope
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
Sisters of Hope started in the spring of 2022 after many conversations among women within Ithaca Living Hope Church. We discussed feeling disconnected with one another during and after the COVID pandemic. We decided to have a weekly coffee hour to share our joys, prayers, opportunities to serve others, and suggestions for continued spiritual growth. We have been attempting to follow our Church's mission of connecting with our community by offering hope and purpose in Christ.
In the groups first few months, we have visited our shut-ins and reached out to members that have not been able to attend a church in person. We have sent cards, flowers, and food to those struggling with illnesses and life trials. We have celebrated with young families that have new babies by sending cards and gifts. We are serving as hands and feet for Christ!
We meet at the Ithaca McDonald's on Thursday mornings at 10:00 AM and welcome all ladies. From time to time, we have been blessed by a few ladies from other churches and we hope to reach out more to our community while continuing to serve our church needs.
