God created everything and God owns everything.  We are the stewards of His creation.  Everything that we have is a gift from God, so we should give because we are grateful.  We give so that God can use those resources to work His salvation in our community.

What is a Tithe?
A tithe literally means "one tenth".  We are encouraged to be "cheerful givers" (2 Cor. 9:7) by giving to God our "firstfruits" (Prov 3:9).  We are saved by grace through faith, not by our deeds (Eph. 2:8-9) and we trust God that we can live on 90% of our income.  In turn, we also will be blessed by God (Malachi 3:10).

In a growing digital society, putting ink to paper is still the most convenient tool for many people.  Use your own envelope or one provided in the pews.  Toss it in the baskets by the doors or the mail to continue the ministry of Ithaca Living Hope Church.  Of course, cash is also accepted.
